"To
save the world, save yourself."
If
we bother to look, we might notice how the bulk of
human suffering is not attributable to random events
like earthquakes and hurricanes, but is
the result of deliberate action by other (supposed)
human beings.
Intentional
suffering seems to be on the increase. Whether or not
the newspaper prints it or the anchor lady speaks
it, there's another world war heating up, a global
conflict under construction. I am not sure
why or who is ultimately responsible, but I am clear
that it's not random or accidental.
In
support of my premise I do not offer clever proofs to
engage the intellect. Well integrated human
beings
balance intellect with other modes of
experience, but if intellect is the only currency you
accept then call me
a conspiracy
nut
and swallow
another Xanex®.
For those of us tuned into our gut, the ancestors and/or
mother
earth, we know there's something very heinous in the
offing,
something
w-rotten
in DC, (with a nod to the bard).
In
terms of responsibility, W's probably small fry. He's
the poster child for what sucks about America, but I
doubt
he's
the source. My feeling
is that
what's happening is beyond Rove and the rest
of GMOs in the pentagram or any other character
from whatever despotic 21st century regime you care to
name.
War
as a pair of
pliers,
another tool
in the
box to
get the
job
done. Disease as a screwdriver. Pollution
as a wrench. It all seems very efficient, expedient.
The
disassembly
of our world certainly
doesn't feel like a
series of colossal coincidental
chance accidents or the ravages of human cancer
run amuck or the manifestation of natural cycles of
destruction and rebirth. It
feels
-
deliberate, designed.
So
with spider sense tingling, I ask the questions - what
to do? Who am I to do anything? What could I possible
do,
one snaggle toothed partially blind artist against who
knows what?
It's
a beginning, to say I feel something is wrong. It's a
start to think I might be able to help. To begin to search
for the answers, how to heal, how to stand up. Chinese
proverb heard on the radio - When disaster strikes, the
first thing to do is get out of your chair. I do not
think I am sitting anymore.
I
cultivate clarity
through writing, publishing my vision as it arrives.
Perhaps there's alliances to be fostered. I welcome your
inquiries
and may the force be with you.
