Forest Floor is from 'Pictures of Places and Plants', a collaborative show I did with Nancy Stuck in the summer of 2000. These are digital paintings executed on a Apple Macintosh® G3 laptop with no scanning or photography of any kind involved. Except for 'pine cone' and 'birch stick', everything was painted on location, in the out of doors. These are literally paintings from life, great care was taken not to disturb or damage the plants and flowers that were my subjects.
